University has established a Village development and Unnat bharat Abhiyan Cell to promote developmental and social activities in Villages of Haryana.

University under SPAGY ( Swaprerit Adarsh Gram Yojna ) and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan ( Scheme of Rural Development promoted by IIT Delhi & MHRD (Govt. of India) has adopted five villages in Distt. Sonepat Janti kalan , Safiabad, Bajidpur Saboli ,Rajpur , Pinana.

Activities Performed / Undertaken Under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

  • Village Development Plan -Report prepared for adopted villages and presented to Distt. Administration for implementation

  • Workshop cum Training programme for Gram sabha members and Sarpanch and Panchs in adopted Villages

  • Organised “VITTIYA SAKSHARTA DIWAS” organised in adopted villages covering about 2000 families in association with University NSS Cell

  • Organised mass campaign for “Sachchata Abhiyan” organised in adopted villages covering about 2000 families in association with University students &NSS Cell

  • Prepared Comprehensive development plan and design for Ancient Satkumbha dham , Village Kheri Gujjar Sonepat

  • Preapred Comprehensive Conservation & development plan /design for Ancient Historical Pandav Kalin Kua ,Village Sonepat

  • Design of Model Village Water Pond has been developed for Village Nahari

  • Adopted a Primary School of Kurad village for its improvement

  • Organised a Workshop cum Training Programme for farmers and gardeners for drip irrigation and compost manure in University Guava garden

Under UBA ,Swachh Bharat Mission and Swa-Prerit Gram Vikas Yojna , the University has adopted five villages Janti Kalan , Bajidpur Saboli , Rajpur , Pinana & Safiabad in District Sonepat. UBA Team had prepared Village Development Plans for these villages. The VDP Reports were unveiled by Ch. Birender Singh , the Minister of Rural Development , Govt. of India in presence of Village Sarpanchs

Under UBA , a Training Programme was organised for farmers and gardeners regarding Compost Manure and Drip Irrigation in University Fruits and Vegetable garden
